The answer: yes!

Consistently elevated lungworm counts in adult red deer are associated with poor body condition, and consistently elevated egg counts are shed by the younger adults.

Results from newly published research clearly demonstrate the emergence of simultaneous resistance to anthelmintic drugs used against intestinal parasites in cattle; suggesting farming practices will need to change to maintain productivity.
