The new Sheerness RNLI Shannon class allweather lifeboat the 'Judith Copping Joyce' construction is well under way with completion due April 2020. With this in mind the station is launching its 'Shannon' appeal which can be accessed through the Sheerness lifeboat Facebook page.

The ILB launched at 1.28am on Saturday 14 December to reports of a person in the water at Rochester. After a multi agency search and further information received all crews stood down at 4.22am. ILB back on station at 5.00am
