Lots of talk about speeding up NYC’s super slow buses today. So, how many people use the bus?
2.75 million trips daily over 1,600 miles of city streets.
NYC buses account for 1/5 of all bus trips in US.
Daily use in NYC: more than LA, Chicago, SF and Philadelphia—combined!
Israel has killed 10 more people today in Gaza. Including a @WCKitchen driver. Ahmad Nasser Saleem was taking food to hungry people. He is the eleventh World Central Kitchen worker to be killed by Israel.
“He did not deserve to die. He did not deserve to be reduced to a headline.”
Federal agents fatally shot 52-year-old Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston early Tuesday morning, sparking widespread outrage across the country. Salgado Araujo was on his way to work with fellow crew members, three of whom were taken into ICE custody.
Family members say Salgado Araujo had no criminal record, and that he meticulously followed the immigration process. The family and community are mobilizing to demand justice and an independent investigation, with a demonstration scheduled for this evening.
