श्रीनगर के एक प्राइवेट स्कूल ‘विश्वा भारती हायर सेकेंडरी स्कूल’ प्रशासन ने अबाया पहनकर आने वाली छात्राओं को स्कूल में आने की अनुमति नहीं दी.

इसके बाद विरोध प्रदर्शन शुरू हो गया. एक छात्रा ने कहा कि क्यों निकालूं मैं अबाया? अल्लाह ताला से ज्यादा प्यार नहीं है मुझे यहां से. मैं यहां पर अबाया नहीं निकालूंगी. छात्रा ने कहा कि वहां पर इतने सारे लड़के हैं. वो होती कौन है अबाया निकालने वाली. हमारे अल्लाह का फरमान है. हमारे हुजूर का फरमान है. हम नहीं निकालेंगे. स्कूल आने वाली कई लड़कियों ने स्कूल प्रशासन के इस आदेश का विरोध किया है.

एक छात्रा के मुताबिक उनके द्वारा प्रिंसिपल को बताया गया कि हम लोग अबाया के बगैर नहीं आ सकते. हम लोग बिना अबाया के कंफर्टेबल नहीं है. लड़की ने कहा कि प्रिंसिपल ने कहा कि हमको इससे कोई मतलब नहीं है. अगर इतनी ही समस्या है तो फिर कहीं और अपना एडमिशन करा लीजिए. यहां पर हम इसकी परमिशन नहीं देंगे. छात्रा ने कहा कि हमने प्रिंसिपल को बताया कि यहां पर लड़के बैठे होते हैं. वो लोग स्मोकिंग करते हैं. हम लोग उनके सामने कंफर्ट महसूस नहीं करते. छात्रा ने कहा कि हमारी कोई बात नहीं सुनी गई.
