Thank you to this amazing group of students who led a Pride assembly today @HighParkSarnia. Spreading the message that love, kindness and acceptance is always welcome here.
I feel so fortunate to be surrounded by some of the best women in both my personal and professional life. May we never stop fighting for a more just and equal society. #InternationalWomansDay

The Intermediate High Park students decided to use part of their popcorn proceeds to give back to their community. Thank you to Kyle’s No Frills for allowing the students to practice their financial literacy learning, life skills and build local community relationships!
How could you feel anything but love & admiration for @waltonmom the last few weeks. She has fiercely stood for workers rights while inspiring women & young girls all throughout Canada to be leaders. Thank you for your tireless efforts. You are amazing. #Solidarity#CUPEStrong
I’m asking for a fair wage and you tell me to “quit if you don’t like it”. But I do like it. I love it. I love my job and I work hard to be good at it. So rather than fighting for what I know is fair, you suggest I quit instead? #39kIsNotEnough
“My favourite part today was seeing everybody happy” 🥹… Me too Kaydence. Me too. What an unbelievable experience for these girls. Heading into this long weekend extra thankful with my heart so full. We always win when girls are inspired.
The Jays may have lost, but for the players in the Girls At Bat program, it was never about the score anyway.
“I like watching them play,” said Kaydence Holmes, 12. “But my favourite part about today is seeing everybody happy.” https://t.co/WZX0KFWJEP
@TaraJeffrey@MLB@BlueJays This situation was the result of an honest miscommunication which was our fault. We are sorry for the trouble caused but pleased to share that arrangements have been made for the girls to be in attendance in a suite as originally offered. Once again we apologize to all involved.
@MLB can you call and explain to the 31 kids who’s heart you broke by pulling the game from them less than 48 hours before they were expected to take in their first ever baseball game thanks to @JaysCare . 1/2
These girls work so hard and we’re presented with an opportunity most will never have again. They spent the day making signs and tomorrow I get to tell them that power and privilege took it away. You amplified the same message we work to erase every single day for young girls.2/2
Let this be a lesson in how important small town journalism is. Special thank you to @TaraJeffrey who amplified this story for us. Now let’s take some very deserving girls to @BlueJays game!
We are so proud of our Intermediate students this week. They have been having meaningful conversations during our Truth and Reconciliation language centres. Here, they are reflecting the Calls to Action, what reconciliation truly means, & using read alouds to reflect on stories.
Our intermediate students have been exploring different career options through @myblueprint Today several classes were able to come check out their hard work at our very own career fair. @LKelempro
Congratulations to our track and field athletes who participated in the regional LKESSA meet. They had a blast as they showed off their skills 👟 thank you to Mme Lemieux, @ShelbyLaur and Mr Lounsbury for supporting our students 🙌
@HighParkSarnia Grade 7/8 students got to enjoy the day at #Aamjiwnaang taking in the Indigenous Student Synopsis. Miigwech to all the organizers for an incredible day of learning. The knowledge and sense of community that our students were part of today was invaluable.
