@MaxLucado “For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.””

Trusting God can feel hard when our life doesn’t look anything like we thought it would. But God sees things we can’t see. He knows things we don’t know. And He wants us to trust His ways and His plans.
This is a pretty amazing comparison of @Northelem2. In the top picture from the 60s, you can see First Ward which North replaced. Thanks to Kyle Condra for capturing a current picture from the same vantage point for me. I can’t get over all the trees!
Nothing is more unforgiving than unforgiveness. It prematurely ages, makes us sick, sore, mean-spirited & self-absorbed. Makes us unpleasant to be around. Our bodies turn into vessels of bottled-up bitterness, spewing on everybody. Forgiveness does everybody around us a favor.

Meet Darius Brown, the 8th-grader from New Jersey who makes bow ties for shelter dogs, helping them get noticed and adopted into permanent homes. @rehemaellis has the story.

It’s not too late for a new start. It may be scary as heck. But it’s not too late. I find that, over & over in this pilgrimage home, Jesus finds one way or another to scribble a question in the dirt: “Do you trust me? Then follow me.” But where are you going, Lord? “Come & see.”
What if we found out God’s big plan for our lives is that we wouldn’t spend so much of our time trying to figure out a big plan for our lives? Perhaps He just wants us to love Him and love each other.
Reminding you this morning that Jesus is utterly trustworthy. He has no dark side. Nothing perverse lurks in him. All that will be uncovered about him will be glorious & holy. He saved my broken life. He keeps saving it. Place every shred of your trust in him. He will save yours.
As you honor my father today, please honor my mother, as well. She was the architect of the King Legacy and founder of @TheKingCenter, which she founded less than three months after Daddy died. Without #CorettaScottKing, there would be no #MLKDay. #MLK#BelovedCommunity

Sometimes the most powerful prayers are the most simple. And right now is a great moment to pray a simple prayer.
Not sure what to even say? Go to a promise you’re clinging to in God’s Word. Lift it up as a prayer. Because when we pray the Word of God, we pray the will of God.
A few months and over 8,000 bracelets later, Hayley Orlinsky, 7, has raised over $20,000, helping the hospital purchase personal protective equipment (PPE) and support research efforts. https://t.co/cRJWzWEKSp
