@RussHickson@amuse Sunshine laws states meetings must be held in a venue large enough to accommodate public interest. This was not done. Also, if residents collect 25% of the registered voters signatures. It will trigger a recall election.
@RussHickson@JimmyRu52630895@amuse So a person spoke against data centers in more than one town. What do you say about the 20+ people who don’t even live in this county who spoke in favor of it. The same people who spoke in support of data centers in St. Charles and St. Louis?
@RussHickson@amuse That’s a very different situation than what happened here in Festus. Multiple parcels were annexed into the city limits solely so the city could change the zoning of the properties to industrial specifically for this project. This is entirely too close to residential properties.
@amuse@Austinhouse58 This one in Festus that you are lying about will be drilling a 1200 ft well. Do you have any idea what that will do to the 40 private wells on the adjoining properties?
@CatSu_OSM@MSHPAlerts Every cell phone in Missouri automatically gets the alert no signing up for anything. When you click it it takes you to Twitter on its own without filling out a form. Nothing would need to change, except for when we click the alert it would take you to the notice on the website.
@RussellGAlbert@amuse No. I was there. None of us were paid to be there. People from both sides of the aisle are against this & the only people paid to be there were the union members who spoke in favor of it. Once the clause requiring union labor was removed from the agreement NO ONE spoke in favor.
@amuse 😆 what a joke! I was there. People are PISSED. We don’t want this in our community. Yes, I am a democrat but I have stood alongside many republicans and worked together to help organize this resistance. The only people PAID to be there were the supporters of the project. 1 of 2
@MSHPAlerts OF COURSE POST THIS INFO EVERYWHERE. I’M ASKING THAT THE PUSH ALERT THAT COMES TO MY PHONE SEND ME TO THE OFFICIAL MISSOURI HIGHWAY PATROL WEBSITE INSTEAD OF TO A SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM.
@smashymonkey000@MatthuPerry@MSHPAlerts I really don’t understand why it’s so crazy to think that the link my phone sent me should take me to the highway patrol’s website instead of a social media platform.
@CatSu_OSM@MSHPAlerts Why would anyone need to fill out a form? The alert was a push alert that came through my phone. When I clicked for more information to read about how to locate this child I was taken to a social media platform instead of to the official highway patrol website.
@smashymonkey000@MSHPAlerts It is very serious issue that our tax dollars are being used to force people to use a platform owned by an oligarch instead of the official Missouri Missouri highway patrol website that we pay for.
@StaceyWorley@smashymonkey000@MSHPAlerts Our tax dollars pay for the Missouri highway patrol to have their own official website for communications. People should not be forced to use a social media platform that they don’t want to be using to obtain important information about emergencies in their community.
