Open AI getting crushed in court right now in litigation with Elon Musk. Additionally, X has partnered with Anthropic giving access to Collosus 1 filling a major gap with Anthropic, OpenAI's biggest competitor. It is reasonable the OpenAI IPO is lining up to not be as lucrative as once thought.

After a tough @detroitredwings last loss last night, not sure many stayed around for the very end of postgame. It was the last ever for FanDuel/Bally/Fox Sports Detroit. This is long but stellar by Jay Tuohey. The faces. The memories of almost 30 years on the air.
@BussinWTB Ironic the SEC is employing tried and true BIG communication tactics now that they are losing in every sport, everywhere since the official NIL era began. Monopolies can be broken and the tears are real.
@nickbaumgardner Nick has been on the Michigan beat since 2011 originally with MLive, to the Freep, The Athletic, etc. For all the malfeasance that Athletic Department has been embroiled in with hoops or football, he has been strangely absent re: breaking news. So, yeah, no credibility here.
There is no way an equipment manager did not relay the fact he has those spikes up the chain. So this is in direct contrast to the insane levels of detail Cignetti says he, his coaching staff and players possess as a differentiator.
Therefore it is easy to conclude he knew it, let it happen to drive home a disciplinary point by dropping his prized portal recruit pants, in front of his teammates and now the media/fans.
Therefore fact the media does not take a simple step backwards to think of the “why” is incredible to me. I mean, the coach purposefully brings it up in a presser.
@leshka_eth A better version of this is from George Friedman's 2020 publishing of "The Storm Before the Calm: America's Discord, The Coming Crisis of the 2020's, And The Triumph Beyond"
@TonyPaul1984 Kinda shocked you were able to report something accurate. A natural concluding sentence to the post would be the result of the 2013 game, but this is where you return to being on brand.
Good coach and fit are 2 different things. No doubt he is a good coach. Fit at UM is still a massive question. There are plenty of good coaches who are bad fits.
The tribe at UM will flip on him as fast as they are now rationalizing this as better than the others they missed on.
A new president. A pending new AD who needs to clean total house in the Athletic Department will result in him being tied to the last of the bad Warde did before shown the door. The next 2 years will make it difficult for UM to make the CFP - and that will be the downfall. Then his age and his health and his attachment to Warde will be the weapons to chase the new, shiny savior.
I think on the surface this is a good hire. However I have reservations. 1) the entire Athletic Department is still legacy of the cheating era and 1 man will not change that inertia, regardless how respected. It’s a dirty culture. 2) The new, NIL/Transfer portal college game is a young person’s game and he is anything but young 3) He has limited to no midwestern ties and 4) not an advocate of the NIL era.
Prediction: He will be easy to remove once a new President and AD are in place as he will be viewed as a Warde hire and needing to go.
