Well done to all those involved this week for the Surgical Patient Flow out of ED RPIW! The Report Out was excellent. We're excited for the implementation phase to improve the patient journey between ED and Surgery.
We can't forget the Festive singalong to finish the week!🎅
Nurses and doctors from Queen Alexandra Hospital in #Portsmouth are taking part in a disaster simulation exercise to test their response to a mass casualty incident. This video contains images some viewers may find upsetting.
I’ve worked in A&E for 22 years & seen nothing like this before.
The NHS is in a critical state. We need urgent action for sake of our staff & patients.
@SteveBarclay@RishiSunak we need you to listen to those who know what’s happening.
To get them to listen, pls retweet
Whoa 🤯 @TheSimexSeries Demo from their mass casualty scenario by @portsmouthuni and @LivUni was really impressive.
Seeing the mocked up BBC news reel of the @SpinnakerTower collapse and smash a ferry was really emotive and was immediately all in! #ASPiH2022
We had such a fab time @chichesterharbo Harbour Tots Christmas special. Looking for ⭐️, learning about robins and making pinecone bird treats. Thank you Mary, Jenny, Sue and Tim! 🎄🎅🏼
Introducing some of our cheeky Christmas elves. Let’s start off with the boss man and our longest serving nurse. Say hello to Al and Claire. @alchartersPEM
"Does this baby need a full septic work up?",
"Do we really need to treat anything in PEM?", Top PEM papers in 2021 & much more will be discussed at this years @EM3FOAMed PEM Winter Conference. Save the date!
I was truly astonished yest on (not) seeing Franz Josef Glacier. These are my photos. I don't recall the exact date for the top, but it's my memory of the glacier, perhaps 30 years ago, but for sure in half a lifetime. The bottom is yesterday. 😥 #ClimateChange#GlobalWarming
I am in awe at the lack of accurate reporting and the need to sensationalise everything at the moment. Well done @patrickennis for doing your job and doing it well!!!! @BBCNews - disappointing!!!!
So they’ve changed the headline and tweaked the first paragraph slightly but the subheadings and emphasis is still misleading. ‘Brutal approach’ etc. This chap did exactly what he was meant to, what he was trained to do and should be applauded. @BBCNews please ensure accuracy
This is an exceedingly harsh headline. This chap was one of the first paramedics on scene and did exactly as he was meant to in terms of triaging and communicating. “Paramedic follows major incident guidelines effectively” would seem fairer
We are live!!!!
