If there was any doubt why our nursing staff can take no more just read this account. Of course I’m not at all surprised that staff are terrified to speak out. Even after taking strike action to secure safe staffing nothing has happened. It’s just got worse.

Massive pressures in ED mostly due to issues that = hospital inpatient bed capacity being overwhelmed. EDs then crowded with wards worth of patients. It is NOT GPs causing patients to need hospital beds.

@awaisaftab Reducing the red tape. Esp for those that don’t ‘fit the box’ for one specific team or those managed by two teams - who takes the lead there. Equality of services across the lifespan. Reduce postal address lottery re services in some cases.

@LauraPAuthor The only hoodies I could find for my daughters for months were cropped. They are 3 and 5! Surely if it’s cold enough to need a hoodie you would be cold with your tummy showing? Found some recently, maybe the trend has changed.

@TyrellSandra @DeanEggitt Counselling is used often but I feel peer supervision, clinical supervision, reflective practice and debrief are all much more helpful. These areas should be embedded into all healthcare professionals training and careers.

@TyrellSandra @DeanEggitt Sandra if you are a psychiatric nurse that tweet does the profession in injustice. Dr Dean while my job is different to yours, monthly reflective practice practice from our psychology colleagues has been invaluable. Good quality supervision is imperative.
