🚨 CHOP, THE SHAPIROS, AND THE BUSINESS OF VACCINES. FOLLOW THE MONEY.
On October 1, 2025, Governor Josh Shapiro stood inside Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and signed Executive Order 2025-02, directing Pennsylvania agencies to protect vaccine access and insurance coverage.
During his remarks, he talked about his father, pediatrician Dr. Steven A. Shapiro.
He also acknowledged the economic importance of vaccine manufacturing in Pennsylvania, citing $4.74 BILLION in economic activity.
Now here is where my investigation gets interesting.
RECEIPT #1: Federal CMS Open Payments records identify Pfizer and Merck research payments associated with Pediatric Medical Associates, the practice founded by the governor's father. Dr. Steven Shapiro is identified as a principal investigator in pediatric vaccine research.
RECEIPT #2: VaxCare published a case study about Dr. Shapiro's practice titled Increasing Vaccine Profits While Improving Care, documenting its vaccine inventory, billing, reimbursement, and profitability arrangements.
RECEIPT #3: CHOP operates a program called “Close Your Eyes, We'll Immunize,” offering flu vaccinations to children while they are sedated or under anesthesia, with parental consent.
According to reporting published October 21, 2026, CHOP administered 2,054 flu vaccine doses through that program during the 2025–2026 season. The report also describes more than $60,000 generated during the previous flu season.
And where did Governor Shapiro choose to sign his vaccine executive order?
CHOP.
Let's be clear: These records do not establish that Dr. Shapiro has a financial interest in CHOP's program or that the governor directed it.
But Pennsylvania's Ethics Act expressly includes parents in its definition of immediate family.
So I have questions.
Who is profiting from these vaccine programs? Who is receiving reimbursement? Who sits on Pennsylvania's vaccine advisory workgroup? And what conflict-of-interest reviews have been conducted concerning the governor's family financial interests?
I've been investigating Dr. Steven Shapiro's vaccine-related financial relationships since February 2024.
This isn't about whether you're Republican or Democrat. It's about transparency, public money, medical consent, and government accountability.
FOLLOW THE MONEY. FOLLOW THE POLICY. FOLLOW THE RECORDS.

OPEN LETTER TO GOVERNOR MIKE DEWINE
By Jack Windsor
Governor Mike DeWine (R-OH) called the Statehouse press corps to the Capitol Rotunda Thursday morning to tell Vivek Ramaswamy to take down his ad featuring Donna Arthur, the mother of Dr. Amy Acton.
DeWine, per The Columbus Dispatch: “It was just wrong to run this ad.” And: “The ad on its face is deeply, deeply troubling but when you know the rest of the story, when you know the backstory, when you know that the husband of the mom was indicted by a grand jury after hearing testimony and that he took off along with the mother and that two children never saw the mother after that.”
The Dispatch reports he said that after talking about his history as a county prosecutor defending child rape victims. He did not pull his endorsement of Ramaswamy.
Governor, child victims deserve a protector who shows up every time. Not just when the victim served in your Cabinet. Dr. Acton is the Democrat nominee for governor and your former Ohio Department of Health director. She is a candidate. She has told her childhood story in public — she used it in the 2019 profile.
Now, does that justify using her mom in a commercial? That’s a different discussion for a different day. But today, we need to talk about a legal standard, since you brought up your previous work as a prosecutor — equal justice under the law. In essence: we’re to have one standard, not two or many.
The Acton campaign used sexual abuse as an attack on Vivek Ramaswamy. His campaign ran a property tax ad built around a woman named Patty Edwards, filmed at the Lorain County Fair. Her husband, Vernon Edwards, appeared in background footage. On Oct. 14, The Bulwark reported Vernon Edwards pleaded guilty in 2006 to gross sexual imposition involving a minor. The Ramaswamy campaign said it had no knowledge of his record and cut him from the ad.
Then the Acton campaign went to work. Spokeswoman Addie Bullock: “Vivek Ramaswamy deliberately choosing to amplify a convicted pedophile is not only disgusting, it’s completely disqualifying.” On Oct. 16, the campaign published a release titled “Vivek Ramaswamy Airs Ad Featuring Convicted Child Sex Offender.” It quoted news reports that the victims were his nieces, under 13. Acton repeated the “convicted pedophile” line in interviews this week.
Vernon Edwards is a private citizen. His case is 20 years old. His victims are children in his own family. The Acton campaign put that case, those victims and that family back in the headlines to smear Vivek Ramaswamy.
Aren’t those also the victims you prosecuted for? Where was your call to take that down?
Governor, here are my questions:
Did you publicly object to the Acton campaign’s use of Vernon Edwards’ case and the children in his family? When and where?
If not, tell Ohio why the line you drew Thursday morning covers a candidate and not the private citizens and children who never asked to have their abuse spotlighted in this race.

Maybe this will help my liberal family/friends to better understand where I stand. Notice please that Pres Trump’s name does not appear in this at all. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Just to clear the air: I’m a Make America Great Again conservative, but that doesn’t mean what a lot of you apparently think it does. Let’s break it down, because I’m tired of being told what I believe and what I stand for.
Spoiler: not every conservative is the same, but most of us I know share these same principles:
1. I believe America should never depend on another country for energy, protection, or basic supply and demand. We are strongest when we build, produce, and protect things right here in the USA.
2. I believe America must put itself first. We cannot pour from an empty cup. Our country should prioritize our own people before trying to save the world.
3. I believe only legal citizens have the right to vote. You must have a valid ID to vote. I also believe in a secure election process.
4. I believe no foreign aid should be given until every veteran at home is taken care of.
5. I believe immigrants make America stronger — when they come legally. If your first act in this country is breaking the law, you aren’t an upstanding citizen.
6. You can marry who you want. I may agree or disagree with your lifestyle, but your life is not mine to judge, I leave that to God Almighty.
7. I believe men are men and women are women. Surgery or hormones don’t change that. Men should use men’s bathrooms, and women should use women’s bathrooms.
8. I believe schools are for education, not indoctrination. Kids should learn math, history, reading, and science - not political propaganda. They should not be taught they were “born in the wrong body” or pushed into gender delusion.
9. I believe America is in a mental health crisis. Mental health care is real, it matters, and it desperately needs to be addressed.
10. I believe guns aren’t the problem - people are. Gun control only infringes on constitutional rights. But I also believe in common sense: background checks are necessary to keep firearms out of the hands of the mentally ill.
I’m a conservative because I believe in faith, family, freedom, and personal responsibility. I don’t want a government that controls every aspect of our lives - I want a government that protects our rights, secures our borders, defends our freedoms, and then gets out of the way. We are strongest when Americans take care of America first, when families are supported, when our veterans are honored, and when our children are given truth, not propaganda. I love this country, and I believe it’s worth fighting for.

Another Ilhan Omar controversy not getting a lot of media coverage. It’s about Ilhan Omar’s role in securing taxpayer funding both as a state legislator and as a Congresswoman for a Minneapolis nonprofit that was run by her sister Sahra Noor. Noor reportedly has voluntarily spoken with federal investigators for the federal criminal investigation into alleged immigration fraud; it’s unclear if she also was questioned in the investigation into Omar’s personal financial disclosures.
The nonprofit at the center of the funding controversy is the People’s Center Clinics & Services. Omar's sister Noor was the clinic's CEO from 2014 to 2018, overlapping with Omar's time in the state legislature.
The state budget in 2017 included approximately $2.2 million in earmarks for the clinic's renovation and construction. In a 2022 social media post, Omar said the People's Center renovation was made possible by more than $2 million she had obtained during her time in the Minnesota House.
And when in Congress, Omar subsequently helped secure a $1 million earmark channeling even more taxpayer funding to the clinic. Her congressional office listed the project among the local projects she secured funding for.
Omar also faced scrutiny over her connection to Minnesota’s Feeding Our Future scandal, a roughly $250 million federal child-nutrition fraud scheme. She introduced the MEALS Act in 2020, which weakened federal meal-program safeguards during COVID-19, and received campaign donations from individuals later implicated in the scandal.
The safeguards that were weakened included letting meals be distributed off-site, making it harder to verify that every claimed meal was actually served. It also let restaurants participate.
The Justice Department identified Safari Restaurant in Minneapolis as a food-distribution site operated by individuals charged in the Feeding Our Future scam. Prosecutors said Safari got more than $16 million in fraudulent federal child-nutrition funds-the restaurant fraudulently claimed to have served more than 3.9 million meals at its own site and another 2.2 million meals as a vendor to other sites. The restaurant's co-owner pleaded guilty in January 2025, and another co-owner, Salim Said, was convicted by a jury in March 2025. Two co-owners of Safari Restaurant donated a combined $4,700 to Ilhan Omar’s congressional campaign.
Omar held her 2018 congressional primary victory party at Safari. In 2020, Omar filmed a video at Safari promoting the MEALS Act. Campaign finance records also show her campaigns paid the restaurant for catering, food and event space. @EveningEdit@FoxBusiness@FoxNews@AP@Reuters@CBSNews@ABC@NBCNews@x@Ilhan@IlhanMN@TheJusticeDept@FBI@DNC@USATODAY@WSJ@nytimes@GOPoversight@OversightDems@JudgeJeanine@JudiciaryGOP@SenJudiciaryGOP #news #BREAKING @DHSgov@SecMullinDHS #IlhanOmar
It’s Debate Night in Connecticut.
After rejecting 10 debate invitations before early voting began, Ned Lamont will finally take the stage next to me, forced to defend his record of sky high taxes and electric bills, highest-in-the-nation unemployment, and jobs leaving the state.
Please tune in tonight at 7pm on @WFSBnews or online.
One of the more disturbing components of @DataRepublican's "Democracy Files" is the involvement of Illinois governor JB Pritzker.
I wrote the below article to hone in on that particular topic. It's only ~400 words, but I nevertheless did it as an article so I could include supporting hyperlinks. (Some of the links are to some of DR's posts that include a video--you need to listen to the video in the post to understand the supporting documentation.)
Please read if so inclined. Our nation is at great risk.
