I’ve been on this app so long every time there is a nationwide blackout I just assume someone is smuggling a confinement of minerals out of the country & power will be switched back on after everything is loaded on a plane.
Not to be dramatic but if you can't sit still for 5 minutes without feeling guilty, your body is literally running from a perceived threat.
You aren't lazy; you are hyper-vigilant.
One of the worst experiences ever, if you’re not ready to admit you’re the source of half your problems. It can literally freeze you in a constant cycle of self-pity if you don’t act cos you have to low key isolate & sit with your own thoughts to admit you’re not always a victim.
Never thought I'd one day be struggling to pick the best offer out of multiple great competing offers.
There's no way the universe will look at your efforts and have them go to waste if you diligently exert yourself ~ my Mentor
Thank God the long journey from Malinya Primary School to Alliance High School to Kirinyaga University to Moringa Institute is finally over.

For us parents raising children with disabilities, @edwinsifuna called us for a meeting in his office with @CrystalAsige after I tweeted him explaining all the challenges we face. They listened to us
A week later amendments to the PWD bill were done
It's now an Act of Parliament.
Need to shift from cost of unga to cost of eggs and meat being too high…no logical reason why it can’t be addressed, and protein intake in general be treated as a national priority, especially given the developmental impact on a very young country.
NO,NO, NO Mr. so called President!!!
You don’t get to talk about threats when your administration has spent the last few years becoming the biggest threat to ordinary Kenyans. And this habit of calling everyone who disagrees with you “anti-development” has to stop. Kenyans have every right to question you. That’s not being against progress. That’s holding the people in power accountable.
You keep asking Kenyans to rally behind your government. For what exactly? To celebrate more taxes? More borrowing? More broken promises? Support is earned, Mr. President. It isn’t demanded. So please stop with this nonsense of blaming the opposition every time things aren’t working. You asked Kenyans to trust you with the country. The least you can do is take responsibility for what has happened under your watch.
The opposition is not responsible for the state of our economy. You are. You’ve been in charge. If businesses are struggling, if taxes have become unbearable, if millions of Kenyans are working harder than ever but getting nowhere, that’s YOUR RECORD, not theirs.
WANTAM!!
I don’t even have breakfast but oats are FINE depending on how you’re having it. If it’s processed and full of syrup or whatever of course it isn’t good. But low glycemic index oats like steel cut oats that aren’t too processed and you digest slowly is good for you. It won’t spike your blood sugar therefore you won’t get a crash and hungry again soon after it falls fast. And when having with fruits etc it’s also good to eat it with protein cos the protein helps lower the spike from fruits/carbs first thing in the morning. This isn’t even a diabetic thing, it’s maintaining your energy and stopping you from getting crashes and hungry quickly BUT also if you keep releasing insulin again and again, that’s not great either for anyone (non diabetic!!), especially if you have metabolic conditions like PCOS or a family history of diabetes. Low GI carbs help regulate that so you have a few hours for your body to reset before releasing insulin again for your next meal!! It’s only ‘bad’ if you’re having loads of sugar with it or if it’s got a high GI and you’re doing it regularlyyy. Again please don’t listen to these TikTok folks. These people discovered matcha 1 minute ago.. do NOT listen to their health advice 😭
Telling people againnn and this applies to young skinny people!!! Not just overweight people, brown people, or if you have PCOS. You need to leave around 3 hours between snacking, your insulin cannot keep up if you keep spiking your sugar again and again. Coupla squats after meals or a brisk 10 min walk reduces the spike when you do eat whenever you can. Even just calf raises. Having protein with sugar reduces spikes. You shouldn’t be having 188228 pumps of syrup in your drinks daily and having it between meals. We weren’t built for this!
