❤️❤️I love my Masa❤️❤️
*********************************
‼️Masa: A bite of Northern Nigeria’s soul‼️
If you’ve ever lived or visited Kaduna, Kano or Katsina (at this point, any northern state), you know this food.
That very fluffy food called Masa ☺️.
Okay…
✅ Let’s Talk About Quick Masa at Home (Recipes)
👉🏽 Soak rice overnight, grind into smooth paste, let it ferment for a few hours (this is the magic),
👉🏽Add yeast, sugar, salt and water
👉🏽 Many people also add: Cooked rice — for softer texture; Baking powder — for extra fluffiness; Milk or yoghurt — for richer taste; Onions or spices — depending on preference
👉🏽 You’ll need Oil (for greasing the masa pan)
👉🏽 Then fry spoonfuls until golden and fluffy.
👉🏽 Serve with hot pepper sauce, yaji (suya pepper), groundnut soup, or just on its own.
💥 Simple ingredients. Big flavour. That’s the northern way.
It’s affordable, it’s quick, and it tastes like home to millions.
In a way, Masa is northern Nigeria’s way of saying: I’ve got you, and it won’t cost much.
That’s the beauty of it.
Have you had Masa?
What’s your favorite way to eat it?

Throughout my uni days I was selling something, i don’t know how to be idle and this doesn’t stop my my family from sending me money. But some of you are in school and solemnly depending on that little monthly allowance from your civil servants parents. Better start selling perfumes.
@bilionaire_dgb Yas!!! I can relate.
✅ I sold kerosene.
✅ Joined a performance troupe
✅ Periodically acted as patient during medical students examination.
✅ Wrote TV and radio drama scripts (freelance).
I barely remembered when my monthly allowance came in…
In all, glory to God.
