many people have online friends now, who they never met and live far apart from each other, yet they talk constantly. I honestly don’t know if I’d be able to create a bond/relationship with someone if I never met them or don’t have the possibility of seeing often

What was your favourite lesson so for for educ 307? Mine was lesson 5, when we discussed if technology gave us freedom or the illusion of freedom.

I’m really surprised that many of us, including me, don’t really know much about technology since it’s such a big part of our lives.

I thought this class was going to push for the use of technology in classes, instead I find it pushes for the education of technology

I remember memorizing so many phone numbers as a child to be able to call my friends since I didn’t have a cellphone. But now I have none of my contacts memorized. I don’t know what id do without my phone during an emergency, it’s sad to see how dependent I am to my cellphone.

I remember always playing outside as a kid, but it’s so rare to see children playing outside with their friends now

We should also teach adults how to use social media and the dangers. My parents are both so addicted to Facebook and constantly post everything

Keeping close tabs on students' activities when they use computers is a violation of privacy but it is essential until the student is aware and able to protect themselves from the possible dangers of social media #Lesson9

It’s more or less what Joe, the main character, says about the people he stalks. That they want him to stalk them and to see them.

This is so true and yet we are still rooting for him. Is there something unsaid about our society and wanting to be stalked/found by others? Or, are we simply in denial about the dangers of social media?

I found it so hard the transition to online classes when the pandemic started, but now I prefer online classes so much more
