everyone looks at their success in prediction markets and assumes that technical competence translates perfectly to every other vertical. from the outside you see a successful shipping team but inside you see a group that is completely out of their depth regarding cryptographic privacy. privacy is not just another feature you ship in a two week sprint. it is a hostile environment where one small mistake compromises the entire user base forever. for a team optimized for high volume public betting to pivot to privacy is not just weird it is alarming. they are stretching their resources into a domain they have no business being in.
it is like watching a sprinter try to run a marathon in the wrong shoes. they might start fast and look good for the first mile but they are going to collapse before the finish line because they haven't trained for this specific type of stress. they are treating privacy like a ui update when it is actually a survival mechanism. you simply cannot trust your data with a team that treats anonymity as a side quest to their main gambling product.
