Funding: EU, Dutch RVO and Province of Antwerp. SHIFFT will support the acceleration in market adoption of sustainable heating solutions in the 2 Seas Region.
Tomorrow Hycool_IT joins the “Keep it Cool” workshop at @sustainplaces in Milan (09:00–12:30 CET)!

Together with our partners from #2Cool2Waste, we’ll showcase cutting-edge cooling & heat reuse solutions for data centres and industry.
Monthly install rates for heat pumps have ramped up pretty consistently over the last year, but at 5,143/month are still only at about 10% of what the UK needs to hit 2028 target of 600k installs/year. See Ambient's report for this & lots more HP data at https://t.co/NuTjlidGtE
Great news! @UniofExeter awarded £8.6 million for new low carbon heating systems to reduce its fossil fuel use. The @energygovuk funding, from the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme, will replace 29 gas boilers across 8 buildings at Exeter’s Streatham and St Luke’s campuses.
Policy@Exeter put together a case study of the work we did on the @ShifftP to apply a co-creation methodology to developing city low carbon heating strategies. You can read it at https://t.co/WOTkbTMcrO
Did you know that the countries with the most heat pumps installed are also in some of the coldest climates?

We're looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Heat Network Regulation. To start asap and run to the end of the year. Flexible on location, details at https://t.co/ew8pU1Hh1Z
Is the boiler industry gas lighting you?
Accused of “campaigns of misinformation” & “price gouging” by Ministers
lobbying that could “hurt” customers @CitizensAdvice
Do consumers need to think twice before trusting what the industry says?
Let’s have a look at the evidence..🧵
Myths and outright nonsense about heat pumps continue to get spread through traditional and social media. Read my comprehensive heat pump myth buster for @CarbonBrief

One pushback against heat pumps in the UK is that they don't work well in cold countries. Contrary to this, some of the Nordic countries have amongst the highest uptake of the technologies. @janrosenow's guest blog for @CarbonBrief explores this success: https://t.co/fJAIdLouGV
"Achieving Net Zero with Heat Pumps" is a short video from @GSI_Exeter@UniofExeter which talks about the potential for a positive tipping point towards the wider adoption of heat pumps. https://t.co/sdK1loGX2C
Industrial electrification is the main lever to decarbonise industrial process heat.
But how can policy and regulation accelerate it?
My recent presentation given at a @wbcsd@RegAssistProj webinar on industrial decarbonisation.
As part of celebrating 20 years at Penryn Campus in #Cornwall on Sept 10th we will host "Shaping a Sustainable Future: Pioneering Research and Empowering Action", talks across the breadth of Sustainability & the #SDGs. Sign up free for online or IRL! https://t.co/r0gFB2063W
Denmark is a global energy transition trailblazer.
Wind and solar now provide more than 2/3 of Denmark's electricity generation. In 2000 it was just 12%.
Fossil fuels used to provide 84% in 2000. In 2023 it was just 12%.
@EmberClimate
Painful dose of reality from National Grid's Future Energy Scenarios document this year. Heat pump installations happening slower than their previous worst case trajectory, causing them to lower expectations
The @Telegraph keeps spreading misinformation about heat pumps this time in an article by @TaylorColumnist.
Many of his claims are not supported by evidence as I set out in great detail in this @CarbonBrief long read: https://t.co/eQ9KKzJjqD
