City weren’t accused of 115 different crimes. They were accused of breaking the same handful of rules over and over across different seasons, plus not co-operating with the investigation. The Premier League counted every season as a separate charge.

That’s how you get 115:

54 — inaccurate financial information (2009/10 to 2017/18)

14 — inaccurate player and manager pay details (same period)

5 — UEFA FFP breaches

7 — Premier League PSR breaches

35 — failing to co-operate with the investigation

54 + 14 + 5 + 7 + 35 = 115.

Not 115 unique offences. 115 counts of the same type of thing, year after year.

It’s a shame that while other clubs sweat every season and play within the rules, City have been allowed to build a dynasty under the shadow of serious financial breaches.

Everton and Nottingham Forest have received points deductions, while Chelsea have also been punished for financial breaches.

If the affected seasons warrant it, strip the titles. And if the scale of the breaches warrants it, relegate them to a lower division.

Other clubs have paid the price. Why should City be treated differently? Make it make sense.
