@lirishfwanime Nice writing, Lirish. I'd like to shout out some performances: '21 KD vs the Bucks (took them to 7 with an injured co-star), '20 Harden vs. the Lakers (underrated harden series), '16 Westbrook vs GSW, and '23 Booker vs the Nuggets (they would've gotten swept if not for Booker)
@kattownsmvp If we're talking about single year peaks, then I don't think '12 and '13 should be included. There are more years that I think were better than those
I think '26 Pilgeous was better than '25 because of his more refined playmaking
'07 Nash > any Dirk year
@sybauchamar I think Suarez was elite from 2008 to 2021, which is pretty much 13 years of elite longevity. Even though he wasn't world class toward the latter part of his career, I still think he was an elite player. Kane hasn't always been world class every year since 2016
@1joaquinnn@Siciliadefender@sybauchamar That was nice, being the MVP of the CA, even though Messi was the best player in that tournament. I don't really care about team accolades that much because I care more about individual performances. I still think Suarez edges Kane internationally, but the gap is getting smaller,
@CavLFC98@sybauchamar He was great at Ajax from 2008 until his first season at Atlรฉtico in 2021. That's basically 13 years of elite longevity. His last few years at Barca weren't that amazing, but he was still a very good striker
@mosee_007@SleepyOwl790591@mvsrapp He does, and with Messi, there's a dilemma because I still think he's a top-five player in the world, but when it comes to judging individual seasons, he's not up there for me. I don't rate MLS at all, so I don't really put much stock into what he does there. There are other
@mosee_007@SleepyOwl790591@mvsrapp If we're only talking about the WC, then Messi clears because Kvara didn't play ๐๐. But the context we're talking about here is the Ballon d'Or, which also includes the club season. I think you've got confused, my guy
@mosee_007@SleepyOwl790591@mvsrapp 60. I don't think it's close at this point. On top of that, I just think Olise is blatantly the better player overall, so it's not even close for me
@mosee_007@SleepyOwl790591@mvsrapp Well, it depends on how much emphasis you put on the WC. Personally, I don't weigh it that heavily, but I think you do. I also think it should be pretty clear that Olise was better, considering Rodri was injured for most of the season and only played 30 games compared to Olise
