The Theories and Approaches class spent a day last week in DC visiting the Smithsonian American Art Museum, learning with Folger education director Peggy O’Brien, and experiencing the US Holocaust Memorial Museum.

English Majors Isabella Brignola and Megan Gardenhour will present their honors projects Wednesday, April 19th at 5pm in the Honors Seminar Room in Harley Hall. Come on out to support this fascinating research!

Isabella Brignola presented at the 2023 Lycoming College Undergrad Humanities Research Conference on April 1. The paper was based on her Honors Capstone project: “The Severing of the Pentangle: Gender and Sexuality in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight,” advised by Dr. Shari Horner.

Senior Megan Gardenhour recently presented her research in Pittsburgh at the Northeast Regional Honors Conference on behalf of Ship. She presented her Capstone project, "The Monster in the Closet: Hideosity and Queer Fear in Lesbian Horror," advised by Dr. Erica Galioto.
