It also protects us from any religious law, including sharia, overriding our founding principles. That's not intolerance. that's the whole point of the first amendment and the separations of powers.

Women's right, free speech, equal justice under law, individual liberty. These aren't negotiable parts of America... They're the foundationa. You can respect people of all faiths while still saying plainly that no systems of law supersedes the constitution

The fact that stating this basic principles draws outrage from major midia tells you something about where the conversations has drifted. Standing up for what we actually believe shouldn't be controversial."
