Bitterns have bred in Derbyshire for the first time on record at Willington Wetlands Nature Reserve.

The reintroduction of beavers has been instrumental in creating a diverse and dynamic wetland, benefitting many different species, now including Bittern!

Although a real sensible simplification would have been to get rid of the abatement of personal allowances at £100,000 rather than abolish 45% rate. So the commitment to simplification is not apparent here!

HMRC has acknowledged the timeline for the NICs reversal will be tight and that some employers may not be able to implement the changes in time. The Revenue has also indicated it will be directing employees to their employers to correct any overpaid NICs in the first instance.
