Never in a million years did I expect to get views like this of Wallcreeper. A male and female at Trigrad gorge - nest prospecting and best of all the males song echoing down the walls of the gorge. At times the male came within metres of us singing, a totally insane experience.

@WaterVole @WillKnocker Hi Jo, understood. I also share your concerns re photography and wildlife. But I think to use the original posters post to make such a point maybe conflates two things that shouldn’t be. Without folk like the poster, we’d likely have even fewer Curlew than we do now.

There are worse ways to start your day! Up to 9 singing birds across a site I’m monitoring this year. It’s always a job in of itself to pull yourself away and carry on surveying.
