As temperatures continue to increase and political progress stalls around the world, good people everywhere are taking a stand for urgent action on climate change, no new fossil fuels, a just energy transition, accountability for polluters and to secure our kids’ futures.
These community members are fighting the good fight for us all.
We should never expect others to do what we won’t do ourselves.
So today, I joined the good folk at Rising Tide in Newcastle to do my part for a sustainable planet, and future.
Who thought?
FIFA had a human rights audit of the Saudi Arabia 2034 bid written that said, ‘good news, everything is dandy.’

@Craig_Foster Fantastic advocate for human rights and gender equality - you are greatly admired Craig - keep on keeping on - so important for young men to hear your advocacy and quite incredible to read about this issue occurring at Sydney Grammar School
In the midst of all the noise & doubts, the AIDS movement is proof that #multilateralism works and that @UN is the platform.
So pleased to see the AIDS response recognized at #UNGA79 as the model to solve global challenges, to reach our #GlobalGoals!

Not all disabilities are visible. There was a disabled person on #insiders panel today - me. Don’t assume that just because you can’t see it when you look on TV that you know about someone’s disability.
What an amazing week! So proud to represent #Australia in the #Triathlon Multisport World Championships in #Townsville with two of my children Emily & Matthew who each competed in different events! It’s such a fabulous atmosphere among the age group competitors & extremely well organised. @ProfGLongMIA and I also led the Aussie team at the opening ceremony and made the athlete’s pledge on behalf of all >3000 competitors from >30 countries.
Good luck to Garry Maddox who competes tomorrow!

Political? Or humanitarian? Why was calling for 'No War in Ukraine' seen as a call for peace, with no repercussions, while a call to 'Free Afghan Women' in the only country practicing gender-apartheid seen as a 'political' statement with a refugee from Afghanistan disqualified from Olympic #breaking?

Trevor Stratton, diagnosed with HIV in 1990, credits the Indigenous community for standing by him through it all.
This World's #IndigenousPeoples Day, let’s remember the strength of Indigenous communities and work together to #endAIDS as a public health threat by 2030.
