🚨 ALLEGED DOG ABUSER - ST ANNES ON SEA BLACKPOOL. IF YOU KNOW HIM, HAVE A WORD

Does anyone recognise this specimen of humanity who was on the beach - south of the pier - about 7.45 this evening (Wednesday 27 May)?

My friend and I (with our dogs) noticed him as he was hitting both of his dogs. He then picked one up either by its collar or scruff of the neck and let it hang! We could hear what he was saying to them (loudly) and it wasn’t pleasant.

Out came my camera and I pretended to be videoing the beach but was taking this photo. He sort of walked towards us and as he did so the language he used towards the dogs changed from very unpleasant to more favourable.

As he came closer I said I’d noticed the change in what he was saying to the dogs - well the beast was unleashed and a tirade of foul abusive and threatening language came forth - he was nearly screaming at us.

Other people heard him as we were asked what all that was about. My only concern was for the dogs - 2 Yorkshire terriers (or similar) who seemed to be fastened together by a length of chain - could have been a ‘brace’ for walking 2 dogs on one lead.

Being reported to police this morning.

💔HELP NEEDED – WE ARE HEADING FOR A CRISIS 💔
We’ve had a sudden influx of bull breeds into one of the pounds we work with. None of these dogs will be easy to place. Some are welfare cases and don’t even get the standard 7 days – a few are due out now, and the rest are all due out on the same day next week.
This pound does not have the capacity to hold dogs over time for long.
Normally, Pendle Dogs would step in and bring some into our care, but we simply have no space. None of our current dogs have been placed, and our emergency boarding is currently unavailable due to illness.
On top of this, we also have police dogs that urgently need sorting. We are dangerously close to crisis point and are genuinely worried sick that we won’t get these dogs out in time.
As pound pullers, we tend to stay low key. We rarely post big attention-grabbing appeals, and that means we don’t have large donation reserves to fall back on and at times need to ask for help.
We urgently need:
• Rescue spaces nationwide
• Funds for transport – our fuel pot is almost empty
• Kennel funds to send with a police seizure dog being moved to rescue next week
If you can help in any way – rescue space, sharing this post, or donating towards transport and kennel costs – you could quite literally be helping to keep these dogs alive.
