The Carol Bellamy Leadership Award is a GCERF initiative funded by the Federal Republic of Germany. This award recognizes and amplifies the leadership of women who are building more resilient, inclusive,& peaceful communities in contexts affected by violent extremism & terrorism
as part of monitoring & evaluation activities for its Empowering Women to Build Resilience project.

Through their advocacy visit to the Village Head, they pushed for stronger action on drug abuse, youth crime, and the need for women’s voices in security decisions.

Their efforts paid off with commitments to include women in the Peace and Security Committee, address trauma support for victims of banditry, and tackle drug use among youth.
