ABERRANTE.

🚨Two men accused of st*bbing dog to death with sheet metal in Harris County
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas: Two Aldine area men are facing charges after authorities say they held down a dog and st*bbed him to death with a piece of sheet metal.
Juan Garcia, 46, was arrested Wednesday and charged with animal cruelty in connection with the May 8 attack at a home on Hopper Road.
The dog’s owner, Eric Enriquez, said his 4-year-old pit bull, Bull-lit, was like a son to him.
According to court documents, one man allegedly put Bull-lit in a headlock while Garcia used the sharp edge of a piece of sheet metal to puncture one of the dog’s lungs.
Enriquez said he woke up to his aunt screaming and found Bull-lit covered in blood, fighting for his life. He tried to stop the bleeding with a makeshift bandage and rushed the dog to a veterinarian, but Bull-lit could not be saved.
Garcia appeared in probable cause court Thursday morning, where a magistrate declined to set bail. Records show Garcia has a lengthy criminal history, including prison time for aggravated robbery.
Authorities have issued a warrant for the second man accused of holding Bull-lit down, but records show he has not yet been arrested.
‼️BREAKING: Alley Cat Allies offers $15,000 REWARD seeking justice for a cat shot with a crossbow in Salem, Ohio‼️
Justice, a tabby cat who was loved by his caregivers and described as “very friendly,” was discovered with the bolt piercing through his lower body on Monday, June 1, 2026, at the 200 block of West 8th Street in Salem, Ohio. The injury suggested Justice had been shot at least 4 to 5 days earlier.
IMPORTANT: Alley Cat Allies and the Columbiana County Humane Society urge anyone with information to call the Columbiana Chief Humane Officer at 234-575-1400.
Though he was rushed to medical care, Justice had already lost mobility in his back legs, and veterinarians determined that his injuries were too severe. He had to be humanely euthanized.
We hope this reward brings in critical information leading to an arrest. Then, we are going to demand a trial and the maximum penalty under the law for this horrific act of cruelty. Alley Cat Allies also plans to cover the costs of a necropsy and other procedures to uncover more information.
In Justice's memory, we are fighting for the justice he deserves. Learn more: https://t.co/AuNhoLgnj1
NEW: Border Collie in China with 1.5 million followers stolen, sold for $27 to a restaurant, and then eaten.
The dog's owner, a Chinese travel blogger named 'Guo,' documents his travels with his dog.
While he was away on an overseas trip, the dog disappeared while in the care of Guo's dad. Surveillance footage showed two people stealing the animal.
Guo was able to track down the thief and offered $1500 for the return of his dog, but was told the dog had been sold for $27 and eaten.
The thief says he thought the dog was a stray.
"The dog is dead, so stop making a fuss. I did not break the law," the man allegedly said.
Petty Officer 3rd Class Lauren J. Singer was traveling over the Coronado Bridge near San Diego, California, returning to her on base residence, when she noticed a stranded motorist outside his vehicle.
Singer asked if he needed any help, and the driver responded that he was fine. Something in the manner of the driver’s response triggered her intuition and made her feel that something was not right.
She noticed the driver putting a rope around his neck. As he was putting a foot on the barrier to jump over the side, Singer rushed to his side, pulling him back. Startled, she grabbed him and asked what he was doing. He coolly responded by saying that today was the day he was going to die. While Singer was holding the driver, she noticed a knife on the barrier ledge. She cut the rope from around his neck, dropped the knife and kicked it underneath the car. She then identified a gun in his pocket. She removed the firearm and directed other stopped motorists to lock the gun securely in the trunk and call 911.
She stayed with the suicidal driver until the California Highway Patrol arrived. Singer’s willingness to assist a stranger undoubtedly resulted in saving his life.
We salute you Petty Officer Singer! The 2020 USO Sailor of the Year!

‼️UPDATE: 7 cats rescued from a sealed bin in San Antonio were saved and adopted. But justice still must be served‼️
Alley Cat Allies is offering a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for sealing cats into two plastic bins to die in February of 2026.
Anyone with information is urged to call 311 and ask to speak with a San Antonio Animal Care Services (ACS) investigator. Learn more here: https://t.co/gVr25iCvef
The seven cats saved were cut out of one of the bins just in time to be rushed to lifesaving medical care. Now, all have been adopted into homes where they can heal. Munchkin was the last to find a family just two weeks ago.
However, every cat in the second bin passed away before they could be rescued. This horrific act of cruelty cannot go unpunished. We are fighting in their memory and seeking the maximum sentence for all involved.
As an ACS spokesperson said: “Given the generous Alley Cat Allies reward in connection with this case, we are hopeful the reward may encourage anyone with information to come forward and assist investigators."

@LoneStarChica@SpcaHouston@houstonpolice I’m a reporter and would love to know why you think it is acceptable to leave a dog traps in a covered box in the heat.
@LoneStarChica I noticed that this dog seems to be in a very small fenced in enclosure witb a cement slab under him. Can you imagine how hot the cement gets? Meaning he chooses to stay in that hot box of a plastic dog house to escape burning his feet!?🤬
@LoneStarChica No call back yet from the officer who was supposed to go to this address yet.
I truly hope others of you are calling. Without pressure from the public nothing will change for this poor dog , absolutely nothing.
