To many American's, their silence has meant approval for the acts of that day.

Early this morning, just before 5:30am at 13th & Lowell, an RV parked outside of a DHA public housing complex exploded and caught fire.

Carl Brown was inside at the time and was reportedly injured. @denverpolice took him into custody on an outstanding Broomfield warrant for drugs.

Brown has a nearly 30-year Colorado criminal history spanning 77 arrest cycles from the mid-1990s through 2026 across the Denver metro area.

His record is dominated by repeated drug possession charges…many ending in guilty pleas, short jail stays, probation, or DOC time. It also includes aggravated vehicle theft, other theft-related cases, a 2007 assault that produced a misdemeanor conviction, identity theft, and multiple parole violations that sent him back to DOC.

How many more incidents like this have to happen before we stop enabling the same cycle of drug addiction, disorder and crime in our neighborhoods?
