@houseprinc3ssa It's been a bit odd, though, because in the last few weeks, Togashi's been busy with everything except the guidelines for his assistants on the final chapters of blocks 421/430. This makes me think that Shueisha has no intention of publishing them.
@knuckleluv@808Pami@sugarchrollo The problem is that in the anime, they've made Gon and Killua the undisputed protagonists. I doubt the TV network would be interested in a HxH without those two
@knuckleluv@808Pami@sugarchrollo There's a lot of content, and it's all very dense narratively. These 83 chapters (including the 10 set to be released this summer) are packed with story. That works out to an average of 1.5 chapters per episode.
@mattebellins@KougyokuStan But Togashi finished the rest of the 9 chapters by February. We had to wait because, as I said, they were set on releasing the chapters in August, which was the month of the centennial. Shueisha is the problem here
@mattebellins@KougyokuStan I'd prefer a chapter be published as soon as it's finished. Togashi finished Chapter 411 in December 2025, so it's kind of ridiculous that we had to wait until the end of June 2026. It's one thing to wait out of concern for Togashi's health,
@KougyokuStan@mattebellins What bothers me is that a lot of people think these long breaks are only because of his health issues, when really they're more due to Shueisha's editorial processes. I think they should publish Togashi's chapters as soon as they're done,
@mattebellins@KougyokuStan Shueisha did this to make sure the release date lined up with the 100th anniversary in August. Unfortunately, Shueisha now considers HxH a series to be published only on special occasions, not a manga that's truly ongoing
