Looking like Anders Lee is preparing to hit free agency. His agent Neil Sheehy met with Isles GM Mathieu Darche today. Both sides far apart. The Isles intend to keep trying, they want their captain back. But Lee appears most likely headed to market at the moment. Obviously things could change between now and July 1.

Sources say that an agreement on a contract extension between the Flyers and Daniel Vladař has been finalized. The details will be revealed in July (unless @FriedgeHNIC finds out sooner, haha), when it can be officially announced. The new contract will begin in the 27–28 season.

Vegas’s cycle can’t be stopped. They’ve reclaimed the lead early in the third period.

It’s one of Vegas’s biggest strengths, and it’s going to be a quick series if Carolina can’t find an answer to those sequences.

Vegas has to be happy with that period. Regained control of the game with three unanswered and controlled play for most of the period.

At the same time, Canes did well to answer back by punishing another mistake for the Knights. 3-3 after 2. What a game this has been.

The Captain ties it! Carolina continues to capitalize off of Vegas’s mistakes. A failed zone exit turns into Staal sniping one past Hart. Huge for the Canes, who were getting absolutely quashed by Vegas throughout this period.
