@ATabarrok There are bases all around that stadium. The pilots have to log flight hours despite the game. Might as well give the taxpayer a spectacle. I paid for this happily.
@LeftismForU@RobProvince At least the jury members can rest their conscience. Mom sitting on the stand asking for mercy last night followed immediately by this behavior. She just torpedoed any chance at sympathy.
@CyborgPeds This guy just blasphemed Waffle House?! Good luck buddy. I will pray for your soul.
We take our scattered smothered and covered hashbrowns at 3am very seriously.
A lot of attendees are were season ticket holders. Becoming a season ticket holder in the SEC is a holy aspiration. Very expensive too. The students get student tickets which are cheaper and in the much less glamorous and more packed student section. I went to Auburn. There is nothing like game day. I lived there for 20 years after college too. Game day as an adult is even more electric. A ton of my friends went last night and they took their families. Everyone had a great time.
@Denzell_Of_NSH@HvitaUlfrinn Any weather in a day. We have had hot humid days in the morning followed by tornadoes and storms and hail and have a dusting of snow or ice by the evening.
Alabama has four seasons: Pollen, Football, Tornado, and Hell. Hell lasts for 6 months.
I have lived in Europe and I am an American currently living in America. I love the ancient history and traditions in Europe. The food is great in most places. I don’t care for the big cities and much prefer unstructed exploration in off the beaten path locations. The US is a very young country with a lot of its own unique cultures and traditions. I love that too. Exploring the US without a touristy agenda is the best way to see it. It is HUGE. The natural landscapes range from rainforests, mountain ranges, wide open plains, deserts, bayous, tropical islands, tundras, ocean sized lakes, alabaster sandy beaches, redwood forests, and on and on. We have dormant and active volcanoes. Breathtaking national parks. It is truly beautiful.
@financialdopers@the_bonnfire It is such a giant and diverse country. I love Montana, the Gulf Coast, the Appalachian hill country, Savannah GA… so much to see. Alaska and Hawaii too!
