@ClayTravis Social Security is too big for the US equities market to absorb and still produce the same amount of growth. Market distortion would reduce the expected benefit. It's been extensively studied.
@Victual_Bro@AJA_Cortes I looked at a TDI New Beetle in 2001 and thought, this makes sense. My mother actually bought a TDI Jetta wagon in 2009 and by, diesel just didn't make sense anymore (to me, at least). Yeah, it's more efficient, but it just cost too much.

@xwanyex My Mazda CX-5 has LED lights that swivel. Woohoo. But guess what happens if it starts making noises? It's probably the fan for the LED, which isn't replaceable; instead, you get to pay $1400 for an entire headlamp assembly. Madness.
@HalcyonHypnotic I wouldn't describe Apollo as a mediocre example but it pushed so hard against the state of the art that it teetered right on the edge of mission failure more than once. God bless the men and women who made it possible.
