@Kirt_Achenbach During that era he didn't own those cars, only sponsored most of them. He owned the #2 that Ruttman, Earnhardt, Martin and Shepherd ran. He also ran a 2nd car for 8 races for McCall, Sauter, Combs and Senneker. The 28, 44, 47, 71 and 90 were just sponsorship deals.

He doesn't get noticed or win the Snowball Derby if his dad made $45K a year and he was racing a 7 year old chassis. Without Bill that means no $75K cars, full time crew chief, unlimited tires etc.
