@hwinkler4real Happy belated birthday, Henry! We are raising money to convert the abandoned railroad bed near your favorite place (West Yellowstone, obviously) into a hiking-biking-fishing trail! Any chance you would donate an autographed photo for our online auction? Thanks!
Did you know the YST will be dog-friendly? πΆ This photo shows the historic depot which now houses the Museum of the Yellowstone. The depot is part of the historic district in West Yellowstone, a focal point along the planned trail which will follow the abandoned railroad route.
This #ThankfulThursday, we are thankful for @GallatinNF@CusterNF & their role as a partner on the Yellowstone Shortline Trail!
Custer Gallatin NF has contributed substantially to the success of the YST. A special thanks to District Ranger Brey for his dedication & efforts!
Melissa & Kelli have been extremely dedicated to the project and instrumental in efforts to bring the trail to life. Their goal is to raise $50,000 for their 50th birthdays which will be tripled by the Dr. Dumke Foundation for a total of $150,000. Donate @ https://t.co/MgCPm26aw5
Thank you, West Yellowstone Foundation!!! We are deeply appreciative of the WYF's $5,000 contribution for the Yellowstone Shortline Trail.

Thank you to @UnionPacific for donating $15,000 to the Yellowstone Historic Center in support of the Yellowstone Shortline Trail!

It's Friday! Where will you be exploring this weekend? The Yellowstone Shortline Trail will connect to other trails, including the Continental Divide Trail which runs from MT to NM. For people riding the CDT, the YST will connect them to the community of West Yellowstone.
Part of the money raised will go towards the construction of bridges where the trail crosses over the South Fork of the Madison River. Last week, the ladies of @FreeheelWheel took this pic of where the first bridge will be located. Support the trail at https://t.co/MgCPm1Oz7v
Here is a shot of the future trail running along the South Fork of the Madison River. A crew from the Montana Conservation Corp out of Helena came to the area for 10 days to begin thinning, limbing, and piling along the route. Donate today! https://t.co/kGwZFUiBjb
