There are a lot of shounen #manga magazines out there. I mean a *lot.* More than you'd think, I'm sure!
With this in mind, let's take a look at all of them, publisher by publisher, with some stats as well! 🧵
circulation numbers for shounen manga magazines keep slipping and they keep relying more heavily on idols to keep them up, which keeps not working - maybe it's the time to bring back "pro athletes awkwardly interacting with children" covers
@MelonsinmyAttic well the guy's Japanese so he doesn't have to care about the rest of the world, except for hating foreign fans for leaks/scanlations since he white-knights for fucking Shogakukan I guess. Imagine seeing fan projects vs. crusty old publishing giants and rooting for the latter...
am I wrong here? *Is* it illegal to produce a fan translation of a work that's already legally available for free in another language if that translation is not for commercial purposes? Because this guy called me an egotist for saying so and yet I'm not sure I was wrong
@yy_kosho__ chapter 1 is freely available on the Big Comic Online website, if a non-commercial translation of something that's already available for free and not being done for profit "gets me in trouble" then so be it
@MangaMeathead@yy_kosho__ well according to Ito there, I'm just an egotist for doing a free fan translation and posting it on Twitter. Hey Ito, I know you blocked me but you suck
@MelonsinmyAttic oh the guy who was hating on my post is a racist, xenophobic asshole, I was just pretending to be nice about it because I didn't want to say "fuck this piece of shit" even if it's what I really meant. I know I'm fine legally lol
