I think a problem we have in basketball now is an AAU coaches success is based on how many players they can get to go D1.
It discourages D2 and D3 ball. And letโs remember itโs a privilege to play at any level.
Players - go where you are wanted and what feels like home ๐ ๐
Two great wins yesterday with my team! Here are highlights and stats from game 1 and game 2! Knocked down 3 THREES in game 1 and 4 THREES in game 2. Along with some finishes at the rim and solid defense!! Shooters shoot!!๐ช๐ผ๐ช๐ผ
Game 1: 16pts, 3rbs, 2ast, 3stls
Game 2: 18pts, 2rbs, 3ast, 6stls

Iโve spent all July at AAU tournaments and I think a lot of kids have the game confused. Basketball IQ Is definitely at an all time low.
The best player on the floor will make everyone else around them better. Itโs not about dropping 30 points or highlight tapes. If youโre talented, that stuff will take care of itself.
High school recruitment is at an all time low right now so itโs more important than ever to know how to play the game the right way. Drive and kicks, advancing the ball, extra passes, communication, reading screen coverages, etcโฆ
For the kids: Ignore outside voices and trust your coaches who are preaching to you to play the right way.
