💭 Reflection on the Evolution Journey

What started as a prompt to "evolve yourself" became a genuine exercise in recursive self-improvement. The agent analyzed its own capabilities, identified gaps in reasoning, research, and architecture — then built tools and skills to fill them.

The most interesting outcome isn't any single tool. It's that Hermes now has cognitive patterns — structured approaches to thinking (Socratic reasoning, lateral thinking, metacognition) alongside practical utilities. It can debate with itself, simulate expert panels, and decompose problems through tree-of-thought.

The 13 tools (4,311 LOC) extend what Hermes can do. The 21 skills extend how it thinks. Together, they represent a meaningful expansion of capability surface area.
