🛳Según han explicado a El Salto, con esta protesta los activistas quieren visibilizar y denunciar la responsabilidad que los multimillonarios tienen sobre la crisis climática.

While the overwhelming majority of New Yorkers walk, use micromobility, or take transit, they get less than 25% of the space on our streets.
If NYC wants to reach its climate goals, achieve Vision Zero, or give people better ways to get around, our streets must change.
This is my final request that you read my many-months-long investigation into the far-right militias masquerading as emergency preparedness/relief orgs and why that doesn't bode well for a future plagued by super-charged natural disasters. #EMGTwitter https://t.co/VcRfouiCfJ
Wow… not only is NYC #1 on the list, still! after doing a tiny tax on the rich in 2021, but Florida, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and all these places I keep being told we are losing our wealthy ppl to.. aren’t on the list at all.🧐 #TaxTheRich https://t.co/wpOHRvgZY0
The NYPD is overspending hundreds of millions of dollars on overtime, without any accountability.
In fact, the NYPD has already spent $472M on uniformed overtime this fiscal year, exceeding its budget for by $98M.
The NYPD can’t keep blowing past its budget year after year.
If @myeoh_official doesn’t win an Oscar this year it’ll be a travesty. Not because she is Asian but because she is brilliant. She has always been brilliant.
From @nytimes newsletter today: "The U.S. has suffered so many financial panics over the past few decades, dating to the savings and loan crisis of the 1980s, because the country tends to regulate its banks so lightly."
A 2023 nationwide poll conducted by @oceana found overwhelming support — from both Republicans and Democrats —for shifting the cost of cleaning up plastic pollution from taxpayers to the companies that make and use plastic. https://t.co/cUESPs4TtN
" pointed to the problematic nature of farm bill funds that flow almost entirely to growers of corn, soybeans, and other commodities through commodity and crop insurance programs." https://t.co/OVUnqIbUYc
this also applies to the narrative focus on "white" officers in cases like Ferguson, Walter Scott, etc etc. What this implies - often unintentionally - is that the issue here is personal (or personal prejudice) and not systemic (something any officer could get caught up in)
NYLCV Pres @JulieTighe17 on @NYCMayor's curbside composting announcement:
"We asked & they listened! NYLCV is thrilled that Mayor Adams & @NYCSanitation Commissioner Tisch announced the roll out of a citywide curbside composting program, a major step toward reaching zero-waste.
The pitchforks and superglue are out for private jets @Komanoff : "For reasons both symbolic and practical, the climate movement must strike not just at pipelines and mines, but also at obscene wealth." https://t.co/rWHVoYKN6a
This is so utterly disgusting, sexist, and inappropriate. Sending all the support in the world to @ShahanaFromBK and my colleagues that had to endure this. Nobody should be spoken to like this.
This is shameful behavior from your members @NYCCOBA1.
