Impact of preoperative uni- or multimodal prehabilitation on postoperative morbidity: meta-analysis
➡️https://t.co/AAyEv9Wfaa
Postoperative complications occur in up to 43% of cases. The efficacy of prehabilitation to prevent this outcome is still debated and warrants further analyses. All prehab programmes longer than 14 days for all surgery types were included in this meta-analysis; 2090 patients were analysed. Prehab reduces ICU LOS compared with SOC in elective surgery patients but has no effect on overall complications or total LOS, regardless of modality.
