@JackDavis10 Wouldn’t rush him back into a full 90 at all. Judge games, judge performances, bring him on at 60/70 mins if we feel we’re getting tonnes of corners but no threat. If everything is under control just rest him and maybe rotate for multi game weeks with him coming off at 60

Portsmouth situation is interesting. This time last season they had the exact same points tally - 17pts from 19 games.
Finished strong to end up 16th, a job well done from a manager that oversaw an excellent promotion and then got through a tough spell to achieve comfortable survival.
Once again, they're on 17pts from 19 games. The team is struggling. The numbers are not great. No standout individuals so far, and only 4 players have started more than 10 games. The balance hasn't been found.
The reason it's interesting is that we *know* that Mousinho can recover things. We *know* that Josh Murphy can be among the best attackers in the division. That Chaplin can get on a hot streak. That Bishop can score at a better rate. Because we've seen each of those things before.
There's a lot of focus on January, understandably. Last season, of Portsmouth's eight January additions, only Rob Atkinson and Isaac Hayden made a significant impact as starters. Aouchiche and Bramall contributed, too. We *know* they can add the necessary in January, and it generally only needs to be one or two key players and some different depth options. Buying starters in January is difficult. Existing players can come to the fore, too, out of nowhere: shoutout Matt Ritchie.
That doesn't mean they definitely will repeat the trick from last year. The division is different, the transfer market is different, perhaps even the mood and atmosphere is different?
But it would be great for Portsmouth and for Championship football, if they could do it again without sacking everyone, blowing up something that has brought them more success than most teams in the same time period, and trying to roll a 6.
@jakemeyers2015 Next three games a season defining patch. Hoping this whole week off and sharp wake up call of dropping into bottom three helps spark something 🤞🏻💙
@PopCrave It’s 10 years already wooo
Many more continued blessings to them and their families, and unlimited gratitude for allowing us to witness their story. ✨❤️✨
@SonStats The key is getting that tune out of them. Even unlocking one player’s form should get the others’ confidence up and we’re away. Hoping Mous has the key for Wednesday 🤞🏻
