Thank you to everyone who has reached out. Thank you to everyone who’s been sharing what Destiny means to them.
Passing these along to the team as they roll in. Photos, videos, art pieces, everything.
Your stories mean the world to all of us. Thank you.
Call this delusion, copium, whatever. We have to try to save Destiny. I'd rather try and fail than stay idle and do nothing.
Sign the petition, get involved, and play Destiny 2 on June 9th.

Ladies and gentleman, the time is now.
I am a small streamer. There's strength in numbers.
If you had any love for Destiny, Destiny 2, or potentially a Destiny 3... I need you to hear me.
Be loud.
Be vocal.
Be determined.
The light will find a way.

I wonder if Xur's inventory this week is intentional?
If you read the flavor texts of the exotics and catalysts featured this week (minus Hawkmoon as it's always here), the message is something like:
"Our tools were shoddy, but we made it work (Arbalest). Now, have joy, and sing one last time (Riskrunner). Despite the treachery, the game still stood (Queenbreaker's); and, though we were limited despite having so many great ideas (Borealis), we have hope that the game will live again (Heir Apparent)."
With a little imagination, the legendaries can be read in a similar way (though there is more emphasis on the actual weapon names):
"This is the Nature of the Beast: A Deadpan Delivery when we were eager (flavor text on Seventh Seraph Saw) to keep pushing when the game was doing well. Farewell, we were Duty Bound to be the First in and the Last out. Now, take your place among the company of heroes (Berenger's Memory flavor text) as we face the Abyssal Edge."
Just the message for easier reading:
"Our tools were shoddy, but we made it work. Now, have joy, and sing one last time. Despite the treachery, the game still stood; and, though we were limited despite having so many great ideas, we have hope that the game will live again. This, though, is the Nature of the Beast: A Deadpan Delivery when we were eager to keep pushing when the game was doing well. Farewell, we were Duty Bound to be the First in and the Last out. Now, take your place among the company of heroes as we face the Abyssal Edge."
This is 100% schizoposting, but it was a fun project to take my mind off the impending doom for like 15 minutes.
I've seen (& signed) the petition going around. But I think the much more powerful response if you're hoping for some kind of future for the franchise is:
Log on the week of June 9th.
Dont' get me wrong, Sony execs aren't gonna fall to their knees in tears and insta-green-light D3 or anything. But seeing SO many players out there logging on to give one last hurrah to the franchise that meant so much to them - it'll speak volumes in its own way.
At the very least, we'll have one more window of fun enjoying the last batch of new content in a game that meant so much to us. At best, it'll show how passionate the community still is, and just how badly so many of us want SOME kind of future for this franchise, no matter how long it might take to build.
I'll see you out there in June. It's gonna be one hell of a ride.
Destiny fans might not wanna hear it, but if you really want to see Bungie get a greenlight for Destiny 3 you should maybe support Marathon as opposed to shitting on it and review bombing it.
I support signing the Destiny 3 petition and having as many people logging in on June 9 as possible as ways of supporting the series and studio
Just...keep expectations in check about any miracles

🚨NEW: Destiny 2 voice actor Brandon O’Neill, known for voicing Crow/Uldren Sov, has backed the sequel campaign & encouraged fans to use the "#WeWantDestiny3" hashtag in a new heartfelt message ahead of the game’s final update - https://t.co/q0PHzE0LTv
I REALLY wasn't expecting a huge response like this, but I'm deeply greatful to see how the Destiny community showed up in only 3 hours. Heres the current status.
1.) I haven't done an offical count yet, but I believe we're past 70 total actual signatures, including those who've sent them to me privately via DMs.
2.) I put this together without thinking the BEST way to allow you guys to contribute. Some suggested I upload a PDF copy of the letter, however that would require a bunch of back in forth for downloads. I still recommend either posting a signature (Doesn't have to be your actual name! You can use your gamertag!) in the replies or as a DM if you feel more comfortable. I'll work through the opitmization aspect of things, you guys just give me something to work with!
3.) With this gaining traction, I ask that you repost and share this to anyone and everyone. Either sometime tomorrow night or Monday, I'll start adding signatures. I'll post the finished copy of the letter with those who publicly sent in signatures. Out of respect of those who DM, you'll be added AFTER the fact.
Finally, thank you all. I know this game means so much to everyone. It sucks that we're here right now, but we need to make an attempt to do SOMETHING here, even if we want a 1% chance of this franchise to continue.
Keep signing. - CJ
