Ranchi. The then JPSC Chairman was L. Khiangte. Dharmendra was the computer operator for L. Khiangte.

Ramveer Singh, Director of M/s TSR Data Processing Private Limited (TDPL)—the agency responsible for conducting the examinations—has provided crucial information to the CID and said that brokers and agents frequently visited Dharmendra, the computer operator for the then JPSC Chairman L. Khiangte.

Dharmendra used to pressure Ramveer regarding the selection of candidates, often invoking the name of L. Khiangte to intimidate him.

The conflict once escalated to the point where a heated altercation took place between Ramveer and Dharmendra near the Shani Mandir at Hinoo Chowk, Ranchi.

Ramveer Singh told the CID that Dharmendra and Ravi Kumar—associated with the Lalpur-based coaching institute 'Shivangan Ki Pathshala'—had jointly threatened to have him jailed if their candidates were not selected.

Dharmendra had pressured Ramveer Singh to leak the question papers to facilitate the illegal selection of 10–12 candidates in the recruitment exams for Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) and Forest Range Officer (FRO).

According to Ramveer, he refused to leak the papers and immediately reported the matter to the then Chairman L. Khiangte and Deputy Controller of Examinations Shweta Gupta, but to no avail. Despite informing the higher authorities, the practice of fraudulent recruitment continued unabated.

Ravi Kumar is associated with the coaching institute 'Shivangan Ki Pathshala'.

Ramveer Singh also revealed that the Civil Judge Preliminary Test (PT) was not conducted by his agency, and the merit list was released by a third-party agency.

Later, following a Supreme Court order, two disputed questions were removed, after which his company, TDPL, issued a revised merit list. Due to this reshuffle, 200 previously selected students dropped out of the merit list, while 200 new students made it in.

Subsequently, regarding the FRO and ACF examinations, Dharmendra openly began brokering deals to ensure 10–12 students passed and to leak the question paper.

Armed miscreants attacked three Liangmai Naga villages in Manipur's Kangpokpi district early Tuesday.

At 30 houses were set ablaze, and a villager sustained a bullet injury.
The latest violence came amid continuing tension and reported attacks and counter-attacks between Kuki and Naga villages along the IT Road.

Manipur’s Meitei and the Kuki-Zo communities shut each other out from the areas they dominate since ethnic clashes began in May 2023 and left at least 260 people dead and displaced 60,000.

Govind Jaiswal’s father, Narayan, once owned 35 rickshaws. But when his wife fell seriously ill, he had to sell 20 of them for her treatment. In 1995, she passed away.

After that, Narayan sold 14 more rickshaws to send Govind to Delhi for UPSC preparation. By the time Govind reached Delhi, his father was left with just one rickshaw, which he drove himself every day.

The family lived in a small room near Varanasi railway station, often without electricity. Govind studied in a government school and later attended an ordinary college in the city.

When he was 11 years old, he once went to play at a wealthy friend’s house. There, he was insulted because his father was a rickshaw driver and was thrown out.

An elder friend later explained to him how the world works and told him that unless his circumstances changed, he would continue to face such treatment for life. That very day, Govind decided to become an IAS officer.

In Delhi, he earned money by teaching mathematics to junior students. Many days, he skipped meals to save money. He studied in public libraries and completed his entire preparation in Hindi medium.

He told himself that he had no room for a second attempt. His father had sold everything. There was no “Plan B.”

In 2006, Govind Jaiswal cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination in his very first attempt. He was just 22 years old at the time and secured All India Rank 48. With his first salary, he paid for the treatment of his father’s legs, which had been injured from years of pulling a rickshaw.

He once said:
“Those who understand my circumstances know that I had no other option. I chose the only path left for me. I worked hard for my studies.”

A 21-year-old Hindu nurse worked at the Prime Care Hospital in Tukkuguda, Ranga Reddy district, Telangana.
Mohammad Sanaullah(34), a mechanic and a native of Begusarai, Bihar was stalking her.

Late at night, he first tried to push the door open; however, it was locked. He then climbed through the window (there were no grills in windows) and barged into her room.

The young woman, who was asleep, woke up on hearing a noise. She screamed when she saw Sanaullah Khan towering above her.

He covered her mouth immediately and attempted to sexually assault her. She resisted.
He strangulated her and then ra*ed her.
Pl note the deed of the beast- Sanaullah Khan killed the nurse but still ra*ed her.

On Sunday evening (30 Aug), family members of the nurse and a few leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party staged a protest outside the mortuary of Osmania Hospital.

Pahadishareef police arrested the 34-year-old bike mechanic Mohammad Sanaullah Khan.

India believes in Ayurveda, and has used herbs for treatment for centuries. Sushruta, an ancient Indian physician from around 600 BCE, is regarded as the Father of Plastic Surgery for pioneering surgical techniques, especially rhinoplasty (surgery of the nose).

Branding of animals especially horses, camel herd and goats with hot iron to stamp the identity of the owner is an old practise.

But in desert cult especially in Oman, hot iron is used for treatment of certain diseases even now.
The practise is called Wasm (hot iron cauterization).

People with certain diseases and pain go to traditional healer in Oman, who makes iron red hot and cauterizes the skin behind the ears, hands, stomach and other places.
