Yesterday, Fraternity Movement delegation visited site of Masjid Akhondji & Madrasa Bahrul Uloom in Mehrauli, Delhi. The 600-year-old masjid, Madrasa, and graveyard were arbitrarily and brutally demolished by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) a few days ago.

Since yesterday, I have been receiving two types of phone calls.

Firstly, people across India, particularly Muslim freelance journalists, are reaching out to inform us about Hindutva violence in their neighborhoods, urging us to report on it. Despite the fear in their voices, they trust that @MaktoobMedia will courageously cover hate crimes.

Secondly, I am receiving abusive and threatening phone calls, often concluding with the war cry 'Jai Shri Ram.'

We take pride in not aligning ourselves with the media's celebration of jingoistic nationalism and blatant Islamophobia.
