Little Rock has official broken its daily high temperature record by reaching 106°F! This breaks the previous daily high temperature record of 105°F set back in 1962. #arwx
Today could be the hottest day in 10+ years.
For reference, Little Rock hitting 108 would be the hottest day since 2012.
If we hit 110° in Fort Smith, that’s the hottest day since 2011.
Below are forecasted high temperatures and I believe the models are a little conservative with the dry conditions not being considered.
It is also not often we’re expecting 100° at most locations, some places don’t even touch 100° during an entire summer.
Any thunderstorm development this afternoon or in the evening could provide some localized relief.
