Sure: plant whitebeam or other trees now missing that should be there, but otherwise fence out grazers and let the existing *wild* trees seed themselves out.

We’re now at the stage where fruit trees are to be cleared because people don’t like having insects (or birds?) near where they live. Our disconnection from the rest of life is the root of so many of our most fundamental problems.

1. This is the only radiator in our house. We haven't turned it on yet, or used any other heating source. Yet we are always warm. Why? Because this house (which we rent) was built almost to passive house standards. Our bodies/cooking/appliances are sufficient to heat it. 🧵
