@Crim_88@infernodan League sends only what the player sees to the client. So a cheat that reveals fog of war wouldn't accomplish anything because the server is not sending enemy positions if they are far away from the player.
@Lizzergas No, I meant it will be bad for optics if you don't handle it.
Also worth mentioning this works because they are PoE, the biggest ARPG out there, they set a precedent. You are not known and possibly this won't work for you, the safest route is to go premium (buy-to-play).
@Lizzergas It'd be bad if you don't handle it. PoE2 is on early access and you can get in now only by paying, but you know that on release the game will be F2P. They are upfront about this, people know they are paying for a product that will be free in the future and they are ok with it.
Here's my conversation with Jeff Kaplan, a legendary Blizzard game designer of World of Warcraft and Overwatch, which are two of the biggest, most influential games ever made. Jeff is one of the most genuine & awesome human beings I've ever met: kind, thoughtful, hilarious, and still & forever a gamer through and through.
This was a truly fun & inspiring conversation. We talk about it all: the lows, the highs, the memes, the details of the game design process, and the new game he's been secretely working on: The Legend of California. I got a chance to play the game with Jeff, and it's incredibly beautiful (and fun). You can wishlist it on Steam now. I can't wait to play it with all of you!
Conversation is here on X in full and is up everywhere else (see comment).

People can not be talked back into rationality if you criticize something they love.
