Today PHF Pilot Nigel Willson ferried Hawker Hurricane G-HURI back to its home at Old Warden. Our last flight of 2026.

You can still visit our Hurricane which is on public display alongside The Shuttleworth Collection. It is an incredible day out in a truly unique atmosphere and setting. (A fab Cafe too!) Please plan a visit soon, and if you are considering your support for 2027 then we’d recommend trying an SVAS Membership if you haven’t done so already!

We have had the most incredible 2026, thanks to your support, so the PHF Team of Volunteers will be taking a bit of ‘R&R’ and spending time with family and loved ones who have supported us so much (Family re-familiarisation 😉😊😆) in the coming weeks & months ahead of the 2027 season.

We also said goodbye today to Pilot Mis who having been part of the PHF team since our return from Poland, is heading home to Poland too! 🐻😎🇵🇱

We do already have some very exciting plans for 2027.

We are obviously very excited and busy planning our Duxford departure to Poland - scheduled to take place on Friday 7th August.

We are receiving a lot of emails saying

“What time are you departing/arriving?”

It’s a fair question but the volume of messages and emails are ‘clogging’ up the messaging accounts and we are worried we may be missing important project messages. We are also a small volunteer team and we simply don’t have the resource/time to reply to every message.

We will publish Flight information as we can confirm it - sometimes this maybe on the day!

You can keep upto date with the latest information by:

1) Subscribe to our website newsletter
2) Follow us on Social Media (Facebook/Insta/X)
3) FlightRadar24 and search aircraft registration G-HURI

Remember we will update once we have firm information rather than speculation. Weather, Operations and Serviceability can all play a part and plans often change.

82 years ago today, CWHM’s C-47 Dakota FZ692 was on a mission dropping troops behind the Normandy beaches in France.

It was one of over 600 aircraft that dropped 23,000 paratroopers including the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion supporting the D-Day landings. 1/3
