'The Dish' Parkes, NSW on a maintenance day.
This unassuming structure played a significant part in transmitting images of first moonwalk July 1969.
Fun fact, it only ever receives information from space, and never transmits information back to space.

Graeme Hamilton was pleased to give an interview for DataGene Ltd on how he has achieved his highly ranked @aussieredcows herd on the Sustainability Index. You can read all about it in the March/April 2025 Australian Dairyfarmer magazine.
Genuinely grateful for this outblock to have been part of our farming history. Sad to be closing gate for the last time, but also glad to have another property closer to home now ready for our farming future.

We're pleased to be achieving well across 2 separate red dairy breeds.
In Dec ABVs our @aussieredcows achieved #2 for SI, #5 for BPI, & #8 for HWI.
We also learned that our cows sired by Illawarra bulls topped the rankings for all of BPI, HWI, and SI for the Illawarra breed!
Today, I took up the gift voucher Craig Hamilton gave me for Mothers Day by attending a cooking class at The Post and Rail. Happily, the voucher was enough for two people, so Craig accompanied me to The German Feast. Very interesting and a lot of fun.
Das Essen war köstlich!
