This behaviour by @TheOfficialSBI Branch Manager is simply not acceptable.

If you are doing customer interface work in Karnataka, especially in a sector like banking , it is important to communicate to customers in the language they know. Being adamant like this is simply not right.

I have time and again raised this issue of mandatorily posting local staff or staff who know the local language in banking operations, both inside and outside Parliament.

Just a few weeks ago, at a Public Accounts Committee meeting, I had raised this issue to the DFS Secretary who assured me action will be taken to follow a office notification that makes this requirement of local language knowledge compulsory.

Looks like this still isn’t being enforced properly. I urge the concerned at @TheOfficialSBI to immediately implement the DFS policy that mandates local language requirement.

I have spoken to concerned authorities to take action against this manager who has behaved in this manner.

Banks working in Karnataka should serve customers in Kannada. Period.

India pumps billions into other countries as tourists, yet we attract only a fraction of that traffic despite immense potential. The same chronic issues, if seriously addressed, can trigger a tourism boom :

1. Fix basic infra : Clean, usable public toilets at all tourist spots. Maintain reliable roads, proper signage, and adequate parking. Ensure last-mile connectivity, easy transport from airports and stations to actual destinations.

2. Filter out chhapris : Introduce entry fees at major tourist spots, not for revenue, but to minimise the chhapri crowd and those who harass or loiter.

3. Strict cleanliness : Regular garbage collection, clean streets, and dustbins must be non-negotiable. Littering should invite instant lathicharge followed by heavy fines through body cam wearing special tourism police.

4. Crackdown on harassment & scams : Deploy tourism police in sensitive areas. Set up fast-response helplines or app-based complaint systems. Overcharging by guides, auto drivers, shopkeepers, and hotels must face strict penalties.

5. Safety : Take strict action against harassment, molestation, theft, or public misconduct. People approaching foreigners for selfies, pranks, or reels should be lathicharged, then fined or jailed, period. Safety is the foundation of tourism.

6. Preserve what tourists actually come for : Protect monuments from encroachment, vandalism, and pollution. Don’t ruin authenticity with plastic stalls, laser lights, new construction.

7. Create a central app for booking tickets, hiring certified guides, planning transport, and accessing safety info. Every major monument and tourist service should be available through one smooth digital interface.

8. Develop hidden gems : India has gems beyond the Taj. Market lesser-known destinations like Hampi, Chanderi, and Mawlynnong. Offer incentives to states that promote and maintain such spots. Support homestays, eco-tourism, and cultural tourism in these areas.

9. Ditch slogans, run real campaigns : "Atithi Devo Bhava” needs to be visible on the ground, not just on glossy posters. Showcase India through authentic traveler stories, grassroots influencers, and actual experiences, not over-polished govt videos.

10. Build a feedback loop : Encourage honest tourist reviews, both Indian and foreign. Use this data to pinpoint and fix real issues. Reward regions that show visible improvement.

अब प्रश्न यह है कि जिस राहुल गाँधी ने बीच लोकसभा चुनाव में गारंटी कार्ड बाँट कर आपके कैम्पेन में सेंधमारी की, और आपके ही बूथ वर्कर्स को हवा तक न लगी (या लगी और वो बिक गए), आपको ऐसा क्यों लगता है कि अब आप उसके ‘सरकार तुम्हारी, सिस्टम हमारा’ को काउंटर कर लेंगे?

क्या कल से अभी तक, एक संगठित विपक्ष द्वारा ‘मोदी को नाच नचा दिया’ तथा ‘अब प्राइवेट में भी आरक्षण दो’ के नैरेटिव को आप काटना तो छोड़िए, नोच भी पाए हो? आपके समर्थकों में तीन चौथाई से अधिक को समझ में ही नहीं आ रहा है कि ‘बाइट द बुलेट’ का आपको लाभ क्या मिलेगा?

राहुल गाँधी, तेजस्वी से ले कर सारा विपक्ष इस बात को आगे बढ़ा रहा है कि सरकार से बाहर रह कर भी वो अपने अजेंडे पर काम करवा ले रहे हैं, तो सोचो सरकार में होंगे तो कितनी तीव्रता से काम होगा।

240 का कारण इन जातियों का पीछे छूटना नहीं था, बल्कि आपके राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष की संघ को ले कर बकलोली, फिर संघ का चुनावी अभियान से हाथ खींचना और यूपी जैसे राज्य में टिकटों का अनुचित आवंटन था।

यदि आज आपको लग रहा है कि विपक्ष विषयविहीन हो गया है और आपने राहुल गाँधी से जातिगत जनगणना का झुनझुना छीन लिया है, तो आप स्वयं को ठग रहे हैं। क्या आप यह कहना चाह रहे हैं कि राहुल गाँधी के पास इसके आगे के मुद्दे नहीं हैं?

उसने कल ही प्रेस कॉन्फ़्रेंस में कह दिया कि उसकी योजना अब निजी कंपनियों में आरक्षण, संविधान संशोधन से आरक्षण का दायरा बढ़ाने से ले कर भविष्य में कई अन्य बातों को आगे लाना है।

क्या भाजपा को यह लगता है कि वो केवल जातिगत जनगणना पर रुक जाएँगे? जातियों के आँकड़े से कुछ नहीं होता, हर बूथ स्तर तक, हर पार्टी के पास ये आँकड़े पहले से उपलब्ध हैं। आप जिसे सोशल इंजीनियरिंग कह रहे हैं, वो हर पार्टी चुनावों के समय प्रयोग करती है।

समस्या इस आँकड़े के सार्वजनिक हो कर, उसके साथ होने वासी ट्रीटमेंट का है। इस डेटा का होगा क्या? और यदि केवल योजनाएँ बनानी हैं, तो ये चूरन आप खुद फाँकिए क्योंकि दो सौ योजनाएँ चल रही हैं जिसे लोककल्याणकारी योजना कहा जाता है।

दूसरा मशाल ले कर घर के सामने खड़ा हो, तो स्वयं किरासन तेल उझल कर घर को फूँक देना, उसके मशाल की अहमियत समाप्त करना नहीं होता। ये बाइटिंग द बुलेट नहीं है, ये मुँह में नाल रख कर, ट्रिगर दबाने जैसा है।
