The ingredient is visible. The formulation work isn't.
If your D2C brand invests in formulation, explain what you checked and why it matters to your customer. Naming the ingredient alone doesn't explain that work. #BrandStrategy
@ganeshsonawane Seeing it happen in front of you is so different from seeing ₹25k on a dashboard. What did people pick up first? That's probably the thing the store explains better than the website.
@Prav0310 "Why does this product deserve to exist" is such a good filter. I think the customer feels it too, when a brand they trust adds something random, it makes them wonder what the brand is actually for.
@vikas_revivo 200k organically for laundry is big, it's a category nobody thinks about until something goes wrong. Curious what people watched for, my guess is seeing what happens to their clothes after they hand them over.
@GurpriyaSidhu Point 1 is the one I'd underline. Sometimes the ad isn't what's broken, the product just isn't something people bring up after buying it. And point 5 depends on that, nobody recommends a 7/10 product to a friend however good the content around it is.
@vikpai The basket becoming the price is such a good way to put it. I think it also changes who gets blamed, your customer doesn't remember the ₹500 minimum, only that your product felt expensive that day.
Your banner says free shipping and your next popup offers a discount.
Test the cart after both offers are applied. Does your customer still get what the page led them to expect? Review the combination, not just each offer separately. #D2C
A founder knows your posts. Do they know what you actually work on?
Before asking them for an introduction, explain the problem you solve and who needs it. Being familiar with your name doesn't mean they know who to introduce you to. #Fountrs
A founder recommends an agency to you. They get paid if you sign up.
The agency could still be good. But I'd want to know about the referral payment before treating the suggestion as independent advice. Why leave that part out? #FounderNetworking
@Rahul_J_Mathur For a family business, I'd guess picking who you take money from feels close to picking who you let into the family, so the comfort mattered as much as the cheque. Ten years and 6x later, it worked for both sides.

A D2C page says 20k+ customers, then 5k+ happy customers. Am I supposed to wonder about the other 15k?
That doesn't prove they're unhappy. But why leave me with that impression? Show total customers and reviews, or happy customers and reviews. Explain what each counts. #D2C
@vikpai That question was always there, quick delivery just let brands skip it for a while. I think the ones that hold up are where the founder kept explaining who it's made for. Estée Lauder can be 10 minutes away too, but it wasn't built around Indian skin and weather.
@ChanakyaShah Telling people to fix their diet first is a hard thing for an electrolyte brand to say out loud. I'd want that line on the pack or the Blinkit listing too, because most people picking UP&RUN off a quick-commerce shelf will never see this tweet.
You connected with another founder. Are you discussing a collaboration, asking for advice, or exploring an investment?
Before the conversation gets bigger, make the role clear. Enthusiasm can mean different things to the two people involved. #FounderNetworking

@vinodchendhil I think a lot of that margin is the name doing the selling. At a kirana people ask for Everest by name, so the shopkeeper just hands it over, and the brand doesn't have to pay to win that moment again every month.
Before asking a founder to look at your idea, say what kind of help you need.
A flaw they notice? A question you haven't asked? Someone to check whether you did what you said you'd do?
Those are different conversations. #Fountrs

@Prav0310 The customer who loved your first product will try the new category expecting the same standard. If it lets her down, I think she starts doubting the first one too, and that's a much bigger loss than one slow SKU.
