@SiAvra Sometimes it's better to have no knowledge at all than little knowledge. A grandmother would have most likely taken the patient to a Level 5 hospital and not some kiosk in the estate.
@X_Official__ Minimally invasive procedures for them is defined by procedures like simple extraction not surgically. They can reduce certain fractures. But they use demand loophole to extend scope. I think they should be careful. No bad blood on them but they need to know when to refer.
@X_Official__ Their lane: oral health promotion, prevention, scaling, basic fillings & simple extractions, working under a dentist.They must present as Community Oral Health Officers, never “Dr.” or “dentist.” Complex endo, surgical extractions, crowns/bridges, ortho & prosthodontics = BDS.
@jeff29366040198@stansyke Wote. Professional should learn to observe their boundaries of practice otherwise harm is what they’ll be doing. Do these people event take an Oath to do no harm?
@stansyke Very sad. A dentist would quickly know that once an odontogenic infection begins to spread and systemic features manifest, the best place for management is at the hospital with an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon or a multidisciplinary team. It’s t less qualified who play with lives.
@stansyke@InnerNarratives COHO so good at PR against poor Kenyans . Sad that they’re not regulated strictly and or held accountable for crossing scope lines.
But you’re right, good game will always be recognized so market is still good.
@stansyke NO. It’s outside the scope of their practice, and although they try to do it, the results are always the same: FAILURE. They eventually suggest removal. A good RCT can only be done by an Endodontist or Dentist. Some dentists do extra fellowships to be good at it.
@amerix Yes Sir.
But this specific case Sir, leans towards angular cheilitis with early onset actinic cheilitis looking at the clinical photo above. A good history patient history to narrow it down would help.
I’ve treated a number of similar cases.
